I saw my Doctor today, My husband and My Mom were with me. I had plenty of paperwork to fill out of course, new patient thing. I get my vitals checked. The Nurse comments on my beatiful wig, which I love too :)

First, the Doctor comes in and he tells me that he is speechless about my path report coming back with no sign of cancer. He told that I had 42 lymph nodes removed. What's scary is that the average person has 9 removed while a rare number have at the max 23 removed, but a 1% of people has an even higher number in this case would be me a whopping 42. WOW!

Next thing he explains all the risks before and after radiation is given. I have to have 6 weeks worth for 5 days a week. He didn't tell me what I was hopiong to hear was "Oh you dont have to have any radiation because your path report came back clean". But instead I will pray about it and let God handle it.

I've already spent an hour talking with the nurse filling out paperwork and talking with the Doc another hour was spent getting tattoo markings, very tiny ones they are blue, to mark the spot where the radiation will hit. I had this gewy stuff placed right over my incision scar from the masectomy which is quite tender so imagine that it was very painful. I also received a CT Scan. My right arm doesnt stretch out all the way so I had to hold onto this bar to keep my arm up through the whole thing, not good.

Finally, it was all over, I left with my first radiation appointment scheduled for July 28th, wish me luck and pray for me!
