Economy, Jobs, and Cancer

More and more I hear about people losing their jobs and therefore their medical insurance. These people can't afford the short term medical COBRA option employers have to offer. I wonder how those with a serious illness are able to cope. Heck, I had trouble paying for my… Continue

Uncertain

Over the holidays I was enjoying my family and having a good time with the kids, but in the back of my mind I was feeling uncertain about a lot things. Mainly because of my Breast Cancer diagnosis 1 year anniversary coming up. I forgot how to enjoy myself because I was too gaurded in the previous months dealing with breast cancer. I regret now, not being able to be carefree and fun and outgoing during this holiday season as i once was. I want my old self back but I think breast cancer has change… Continue

Awareness

I may not be an idea candidate for this site however, I am so interested in supporting the efforts of this foundation until I had to join. Thanksgiving Holiday

My Thanksgiving Holiday was a blast! I saw family and friends I hadn't seen in forever. But this year was different, I didn't have the energy to cook all night like the year before. Around last year this time, I thought I had good health and strength. But what was going inside of me would shock me and my family. I took for granted what seemed easy last year cooking and enjoying family and friends. I've been through so much this year I give all thanks to God, family, and friends. I am so grateful… Continue

Never Give Up!

You cry and then wipe your eyes and let go and let God deal with it! Those were the words that I remember my Dad telling me when I first found out about my cancer diagnosis. He aslo said that he would give his own life to let me live. That's when I knew that I couldn't give up or give in to this devastating disease called breast cancer. I was alone the day I found out and soon after everything was schedule to take place, like chemo, labs, doctor visits, I was no longer alone on this journey ahea… Continue
